So claims research by Quest Software , which surveyed some 200 UK-based enterprise IT managers to discover that the likes of MP3 players and instant messenger (IM) applications are causing added stress for the IT department.

The TR10 ($79) duplex speakerphone connects to Macs via USB and supports conference calls with up to four people. It features built-in recording software and echo-cancellation technology. The speakerphone can also be used as a handset or as an external speaker to play music stored on a computer.

The new service eliminates the need for calling cards. Customers can now use an international direct calling (IDD) feature to reach people around the world. This feature is accessed by dialing 1-2-2, the country code, and then the phone number. Call rates will remain same throughout the day and are charged on a per-second basis.

It features a large high-resolution TFT color display (3.5", 320 x 240 pixels) and can easily display call lists, phone directories, and caller information via the integrated XML browser. I believe this is snom's first "white" VoIP phone, which gives it a nice clean look. Very Apple ( News - Alert ) -esque. It appears to support "picture photo" CallerID but I need to confirm.

Currently, telecom operators Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) and du can provide only domestic calls using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. “We have been doing consultations with the sector ... We want to upgrade the VoIP to include international phone calls for licensed operators hopefully before the end of the year,” Mohamed Al Ghanim, director general of the Telecommunications Authority, said.
